Information we may collect and how we use it.
When files are sent to HomeTech, Inc., for transcription all clients are asked to provide basic information about the file - claim number, policyholder name, interviewee name, etc. Certain clients ask that we provide further information - requestor ID, claimant name, etc., in the completed documents. This information is obtained by HomeTech, Inc., during the file transmission process. All information given to HomeTech, Inc. is done so directly by our clients. HomeTech, Inc. does not have any contact with any of our clients' internal networks, or their clients. Additionally, HomeTech, Inc. collects information provided within the interviews by the interviewees themselves, such as dates of loss, names of other parties' involved, to complete our transcriptions more accurately.
Any information we collect is used solely in our transcription and invoicing processes.
Is any of the information shared?
No information collected from our clients or our files is ever shared with anyone outside of HomeTech, Inc.
Who has access to the information?
Information access is restricted to HomeTech, Inc. employees and security-screened vendors. Any vendors contracted to do work on HomeTech, Inc. systems are required to review our security policy and sign a confidentiality agreement. HomeTech, Inc. does its best to restrict use of any outside vendors.
When you send email or other communications to HomeTech, Inc., we may retain those communications in order to process client inquires, respond to requests and improve our services.
HomeTech, Inc. provides user log-ins to our clients using our WinScribe, DVI or FTP applications. This information is viewed only by HomeTech, Inc.'s operations management, the end user and the end user's manager, if applicable.
